Natalia was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She obtained her B.A. in Literature in English from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. 

​At 23, she moved to Oregon for graduate school, and in 2020, obtained her MFA in Creative Writing, Poetry, from Oregon State University.

​Natalia currently resides in Austin, Texas with her husband, Daniel, and their two cats, Esteban and Soya. Besides writing poetry, Natalia enjoys cooking, video games, and reading and writing fiction.
